The Dick Beirne Award
Dick Beirne was director from 1975 until his untimely death in 1988. He brought
his professional experience and deep passion for the theater to Black River Falls and inspired a
group of local actors to carry on his directing tradition.
The Dick Beirne award was established in his memory in 1984 to recognize
outstanding contribution of service to the Falls Players. Previous recipients

The Steve Cummings Memorial Scholarship
The Falls Players recognizes and encourages musical and theater talent in
youth through the Steve Cummings Memorial Scholarship. A $500 annual scholarship is awarded to
students of Black River Falls High School who plan to pursue a
college degree in music or theater.
